One day while trying to find some gardening supplies, we found ourselves in Winchester, MA and very hungry. We looked for the closest restaurant that was open that had decent reviews online. We wound up going to Sakura Winchester which is this unassuming yellow house turned into a restaurant. They have an all you can eat menu and while normally that’s a little scary, this was made to order and we had an awesome experience. Our Experience at Sakura Winchester

When we walked in, there was a group of people eating there already and a huge sushi boat was being delivered to them. It seemed like a great atmosphere for kids because there was ambient noise; not too loud, but not too quiet to take kiddos. There was a TV by the sushi bar and even without asking, they turned it to a cartoon station which is always a distraction for hungry tummies while waiting for food.

They had high chairs and booster seats for our kids, a sushi bar, and regular table seating. It was not a huge venue, but a nice size. The bathrooms however did not have a changing table. It’s not a deal breaker for us, but it’s something you should know and prepare for!

Service was great, the food was good, especially for the price, and the time spent together as a family was wonderful! It’s worth a stop if you’re in the area or want to go for a short drive to get as much sushi as you can eat without spending everything in the bank.

We love sushi and Asian food, so to find a place with made-to-order all you can eat, this was big! Could this mean we could have an inexpensive family sushi night? Yes! We were not disappointed. While there is better sushi in the world, there are few places that you’re going to get away as a family of 4 paying $30 for sushi, appetizers, drinks, and even dessert as a growing family of four and everyone feel completely full.

From miso soup and seaweed to an array of sushi options and even some small plates of Korean and rice dishes, there was a bit of everything on the menu.

Especially for larger families, this is a great destination for getting sushi without a huge price tag!
